Monel Needle Valves are manufactured from Monel 400 or K500 alloys, composed mainly of nickel (≈67%) and copper (≈30%), with small additions of iron and manganese. This unique combination provides excellent resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and caustic solutions. Mechanically, Monel offers high tensile and yield strength, superior toughness, and exceptional fatigue resistance. Monel K500, in particular, combines the corrosion resistance of Monel 400 with higher strength and hardness due to age hardening.
